This year lanterns are a big part of a Winter Wonderland Park in California.

If you want to travel around the world, you don’t really need 80 days or even an air plane ticket. All you have to do is visit the Winter Wonderland of Great America Park in Santa Clara, CA. This year the park has decided to arrange an unusual scene. There are over forty structures within the park that are illuminated and made of recycled material. You can find structures that are 100 feet long and taller than 50 feet and they are made of metal flatware, bottle caps, porcelain dishes, used compact discs, bottles and beverage cans. There are really gigantic lanterns in the park that depict Taj Mahal, the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, the Eiffel Tower and many more iconic landmarks that people want to visit. There are many craft shops in the park and people can take part in carnival games, participate in a dinosaur maze and hop on a holiday train. There are many performances that depict traditional dances from Mexico, Scotland, Greek and many other nationalities. The Winter Wonderland is organized by an International Cultural Exchange Group. Release Chinese Paper Lanterns to travel the world along with them.

This is the last time to head out and enjoy them, and don’t forget the Chinese Lanterns! All throughout summer flowers bloom and bring color and life to local parks, personal gardens, and sidewalks. However, you may have overlooked their beauty as you were well into your summer vacation and enjoying getting a nice tan. Communities spent a lot of time and money to ensure that the summer is colorful and joyous and it should be appreciated.

Now that your summer vacation is coming to an end its time to head out with a goal to see the beautiful flowers. Take the family out and enjoy a day at the park. Have a picnic, or simply just take a stroll. It will be nice to just spend time with the family without worrying about keeping a schedule. Clear your entire day to talk about your summer vacation experiences with the family and which of them you enjoyed most.

At the end of your stroll around the park head out to an open area, and if there is no wind, release a couple of Chinese Lanterns with a wish for more family days like this.

If you happened to be in Poland on the night of June 21st you would have witnessed a sky blazing with lanterns. This initiative was to commemorate the shortest night of the year. It is also called St. John’s Night or Midsummer Night.

The festival is about sun and the moon, the water and the fire, the fertility, harvest, joy and love. More than 1000 lanterns were released in the Polish sky in the beginning of the event, but later the number reached 8000. This beats the Polish record of sky release.

The organizers plant to beat the Guinness Record next year again in the shortest night of the year. Some people think that Valentine’s Day is the most romantic night, but the 21st June outshined Valentine’s Day by all means. Thousands of couples released heart shaped lanterns and all were in awe of the magnificent sky. You can look up a video of the event online and see for yourself how indescribably beautiful the release was. It felt almost like a fairytale of some kind. The lanterns looked just like stars and they felt very real and close. People will not forget that night soon, they were sending their wishes and prayers in the sky and just dove in the moment.

Create your own magic night with some of our beautiful Chinese lanterns!

Once again Chinese Lanterns were mistaken for UFOs. This time it was around 4th of July in Ohio. A man from Jackson Township was filming the fireworks and suddenly he noticed that there are some mysterious lights above all others. There were three lights floating above the fireworks in the shape of the L letter. The man had filmed everything on his cell phone and sent it to the local news channel. After the news channel released the video some people called and clarified that those lights were in fact lanterns, but there are many people who are skeptical. They think that since the lights were on different altitudes and moving slightly in different directions they might have been more that lanterns. Some people even think that it is a very strange coincidence, because the 2nd of July is considered to be the World UFO day. On this day in 1947 a rancher form New Mexico discovered that a very strange object has crashed into his friends home. Upon examination he discovered that the crashed object was made of some very strange material and he decided to call the military. When they first examined the sight they reported that this was an unidentified flying object. But later on, everything was kind of covered up and no further information on the case was leaked.

UFO or not, the Chinese lanterns always create an illusion of something unearthly and divine – use them for any occasion and you will create a furor.

There are many events organized these days in support of the cancer survivors and a Chinese Lantern release could be seen at some of them. Every year on June 10th at the Sparta High School there is a Relay for Life event organized. This is the fifth time such an event is hosted there. This time there was an interesting activity incorporated in the schedule. There usually is a luminary ceremony at the event, but this time a lanterns sendoff was to take place as well. People who wanted to send off lanterns could purchase them at the event. They wrote the names of loved ones who have lost the battle with cancer. The custom of sending off lanterns for lost loved one is beautiful and very symbolic. Another new event at this year’s Relay is the recognition of the caregivers. After all taking care of someone who has cancer is a very serious and hard thing to do. The recognition was in the form of their own lap around the running track. The survivors lap was at 7pm and it included a big chain. Each link of that giant chain represented one year of surviving cancer. There were 41 teams signed up for this lap this year, which is more than ever before. The goal of the event was to raise around $120 000.

If you have a friend or a loved one who you have lost or has survived cancer, light up a Chinese Lantern for them and say a prayer for them.

power of the smile. This day is the Smile Power Day. People have tried to come up with all kinds of unique holidays, using them as a reason to celebrate and this day is a very special one. As people go with their routine, working, running house chores, they sometimes forget to stop and take a breather, have a drink with a friend, see a comedy, and simply share a few laughs. But a smile is a magical thing. As the stress provokes health problems – just fight it with smiles and laughs. Smiling can make your world the happiest place to be. It can cure you from a bad mood, it can make you forget your problems for a while, and it brings you close to people. You may not know this, but smiling can actually add years to your life. The dopamine released in your brain when you smile is a powerful natural happiness drug. When you smile at someone, you make them happy as well. Smiling improves and creates relationships. In the business world a sincere smile goes a long way and really improves the customer service. And do not forget that it easier to smile that to frown, because you use less muscles when you do that.

Release a few Chinese Lanterns with your friends – you will feel the power of the smile the moment you see those beautiful lights in the sky.

know how people have tried to build wings that are to be attached to the human hands in attempts to fly. These failed. But people never stopped to wonder how they could soar in the sky like the birds. In 1782, a Frenchman Joseph Montgolfier noticed that when he filled a silk bag with air that was hot it lifted off the ground. This happened, because the hot air is usually not as dense as the air with normal temperature. He realized that if he filled a bag with air which temperature was higher than the temperature of the surrounding air, this could be used to lift objects off the ground. One year later Joseph and his brother managed to fly over the Bois de Bologne in Paris for 25 minutes and they flew for five miles. On the June 4 the following year of 1784, the first woman to ever fly a hot air balloon went over Lyon, France. These are really milestones for the human kind and it shows us how the curiosity of man can lead to great inventions. The lanterns are very much the same mechanism like the hot air balloon. If you want to experience that for yourself and get closer to a great intention made by humans, you can order some Chinese Lanterns from us and fly them yourself.

perfect for that. Here is our idea. We have been inspired by the reality show “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” and especially by Dina Manzo, who runs the charity Ladybug. This is no ordinary organization and its purpose is quite amazing. The Project Ladybug is trying to improve the lives of kids who have life threatening diseased. By improving their lives we mean financially and emotionally. Because the hardship these families go through are not only in the financial aspects – they all need support, a shoulder to lean on and the mere thought that there are people out there who are sympathetic to what they are going through. If you do not have a big financial ability to help out, our lanterns for sale might help. They are at a very good price and if you send some to the charity- they will surely put a smile on a child’s face. The ladybug is a symbol of good luck in Europe and the lanterns are perfect, because they also symbolize good luck and fortune. The Project Ladybug is just an example. You can choose any type of charity, buy some Chinese Lanterns for Sale from us and make someone happy. It does not have to be money – it can also be wishful thinking.

celebrating their Asian heritage. They teach their children about where their ancestors came from, what was their history, their customs, their art, songs, dances and much more. There are poetry readings all over the country, all kinds of different exhibitions, museum happenings, concerts and movies. Children are engaged in art projects – either dancing or drawing. Art shops are set up in almost every school. This originated back in 1977 when two California representatives wanted to make the first ten days of may an Asian-Pacific Heritage Week. The bill was passed but some years later the president H.W. Bush made it a month long celebration. Asian-Pacific may sound like a very broad term to some, but this includes all people from the continent of Asia, the Islands of Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia. The immigration of the first Japanese to the United States is also celebrated in May. On the 10th of May people celebrate the anniversary of the transcontinental railroad. Not may people know that, but most of the workers who laid the rails were Chinese. The month of May is truly a time to celebrate all the wonderful things that the Asian people and people form the Pacific had done for this country. Time to celebrate their unique culture and hard work.

Release a Chinese Lantern any day during May and celebrate the Asian Pacific Heritage!
