Quilt making is a great hobby to have; it’s therapeutic, can be done anywhere at anytime, and helps you develop a very useful life skill. Those who are really enthusiastic about getting to grips with exciting and innovative patch designs often boast a whole host of wonderful pictures- animals, plants, maybe images of friends and family, all created with a needle and thread. As the idea of the quilt is to reflect something of the owner, why not, dear Chinese lanterns enthusiast, dedicate a section of your own textile creation to these delightful products? We’re imagining a lantern, or several, in any colour you so desire, maybe surrounded by beams or concentric circles of every fading light, as though the Chinese lanterns on the quilt were indeed glowing in the night sky. Oooh, sounds pretty. Or perhaps you’d prefer to sew a montage scene, with traditional Chinese lanterns hanging from strings between houses, maybe to decorate the street before the New Year.Whatever your inclinations and visions for your quilt, we’d love to know if you create an ode to the things that we love best, and like to think we sell quite well. If you’d like to share any photos of pictures- textile, paint or in any other material, then please do get in touch; we always love to hear from you!
