It’s time to start throwing parties again, people have had their Christmas and New Year’s parties already and have had nothing much in between from then until now to look forward to socially speaking. So get planning and throw a party for your friends and family just for fun. So how do you throw a great party?
Step one is to plan ahead and set the date. Do your research and make sure there are no clashing events on the date that you want. Check for sporting games, your friend’s birthdays, public holidays and so on. Try to pick a date where there’s nothing much on, then everyone will be able to make it to your party.
Step two is to decide on where to have the party. Do you want to have it at your own place or at a venue? Depending on what sort of party you are having will determine where you hold it.
Step three, decide on who you want to invite and then send out your invites, get in early so your invitation is the one they accept.
Step four is to decide on what you want to serve in the way of food and drinks and how best to present them. Make arrangements as to whether you want your guests to bring their own drinks or whether you want catering.
Step five is to organise the music and make sure you don’t have to be playing around with it the whole time, ensure it can be just put on and left.
Step six (if you are holding your party in your home) is to clean the area and make sure it is functional, provide more chairs if need be and re arrange the furniture if it means people can move around more easily.
Step seven is to ensure you have plenty of Chinese Wish Lanterns to release at some point during the party to entertain your guests!
